The other theme had a few bugs, so this is a temporary theme until fixed.
I apologize for the long absence. I didn’t have time nor was I in the right environment to work on fansubs — I don’t even have a desk right now : I’m moving into another apartment this month, and I should be able to regularly fansub again once settled in.
Thank you for all your comments. You guys are the best 🙂
I’ve been slowing down lately since I don’t have my computer right now. I took a flight and checked my bag, and wouldn’t you know it, they lost it. It’s been 5 days now and not a trace. It’s pretty inconvenient since I had my laptop, external hard drive, clothes, Wacom tablet, Nintendo DS, and my passport in it. Estimated value is over $2000.
I was about to hand Kamen Rider Black episode 36 to Britas, but that’s on the external hard drive. I also had a few DVDs of KRB in the bag as well, so that’s another problem. All my fansubs are on that drive, which is not so good. I have the episodes online, obviously, but the subtitle files are on that drive.
I should have just carried it on. I’m never checking anything again if I can avoid it. What was I thinking…
Wish me luck!
New design, back to a white-based design like yesteryear (for those who’ve stuck around). A little easier to read I hope, I like it. The site now supports Gravatars so we don’t all look the same in the comments section. 🙂
I’m also going to start posting Kamen Rider news that I come across.
I also thought to mention that this site does have an RSS feed, so go ahead and subscribe! I noticed that there are several hundred visits per day yet only 11 people have subscribed to the feed. For those not familiar with feeds, it’s free and very convenient: get a reader (Google Reader is very nice, or here’s a list of readers) and click on “ Subscribe to Century Kings via RSS” and you’re set! I do this for all my favorite sites and check Google Reader once a day and see if any website updated. Very handy, saves me lots of time.
Also, I put this in a few days ago, but try clicking on the “Share This” button below this post – it’s pretty cool!Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
It’s been a while since the last post! I don’t have any episodes with me since they’re locked up in storage several hours away; I’ll be going to get them around two weeks from now, so don’t think that I’m gone 🙂
Now that college is out of the way (phew, it was a rough year), I have a much more interesting issue to deal with: getting a job! Wish me luck 😛
Enabling Direct Downloads again, but be advised that I won’t have every episode online for download at once. Please use either the Torrents or SendSpace downloads.
Quick note, this episode was encoded via Divx. For those who watch these episodes on Divx enabled DVD players, if you could, please leave a reply on how it worked. Thanks!
The site was down two days in a row because of bandwidth issues. The first day, it was reported that my site had 70+ GB of transfer. The next day, 100+ GB. Not very good, especially since I’m hosting several other sites (one including my senior project for graduation, very important). Since I’m afriad of this happening yet again, I’m disabling direct HTTP downloading until senior project is over with (April 16th). SendSpace (thanks to zeldAIS), torrents, YouTube and Veoh still exist, so please utilize those methods 🙂
There seems to be a lot of spammers signing up these days, so here’s what I’ll do. Any user that has registered and hasn’t posted within the first week of joining will all be deleted (if you joined a month ago but didn’t post within the first week, poof). This shouldn’t be a problem for the non-talkative since the forums are now publicly open for viewing. If you want to keep your username, just post once (a brief instroduction, perhaps).
Seems that this site isn’t loading properly for users that are using Internet Explorer 6, mainly that the top right menu isn’t loading properly, or at all. I’ve added a makeshift menu to the bottom right, but I really recommend upgrading your browser to Internet Explorer 7, or better yet, Firefox.
Looking at my handy status checker, more than 50% of visitors (you guys!) are using Firefox — I love my Firefox and I’ll never go back to any other browser. What are you waiting for? Join the revolution!
*Note: You can import your Internet Explorer Favorites into Firefox.*
There are some cool Add-Ons/Extentions for Firefox like DownThemAll! (it’s like FlashGet, but free). I also love Image Zoom. Tabs are awesome, and if your computer crashes while browsing, Firefox will open them back up like nothing happened!
Yet again, another redesign! Looks a little more like the forum, eh?
- Recent Comments section added to the side menu.
- Option to be notified when a new comment is posted. Just click the checkbox when commenting.
- Ability to quote someone’s comment.
- Random quotes at the top of the screen for fun!
For those who visited within the last 24 hours know that this site was down for quite a while. The reason? Not so sure. Received a few warning e-mails before the suspension:
I’m afraid I have bad news for you. We have been forced
to take your account offline for the day due to an extremely
high load on your account. At this time today our servers have
served more than 502715 requests for your account.
Could it have been download managers going crazy? A stupid attack on the host by some 13 year-old wannabe hacker? Not sure. Till I am sure, however, I’ll be limiting the direct downloads to five of the newest episodes. If you want to download the rest, please use the SendSpace and torrent links.
