Kotaro has tracked down a mutant that fled to a forest. There he meets karate master Saburo Takasugi and his student Satoru, and warns them of the dangerous situation. Satoru, insistent that nothing can defeat his Master, tells Kotaro not to worry. Kotaro senses that not everything is as it seems, and reveals the Master’s darkest secrets…

Shadow Moon has awakened. With the advent of the Century King, the High Priests – Darom, Baraom, and Bishium – have been reborn as Great Mutants. A declaration of war has been issued by Golgom, as the Great Mutants stir chaos in the hearts of human society by wreaking havoc on the city.
Kyoko carries the wounded Kotaro to safety from the wretched Birugenia. Birugenia, in search of Kotaro, wrecks havoc on the city to lure Kotaro out. Meanwhile, the High Priests are now nearing death, and are greeted to their new master – Shadow Moon!

Pal’s opinion: If you haven’t watched Kamen Rider Black in a while, this is the time to start watching. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes so far, this is no filler! Birugenia shines in this episode, and I actually started cheering for him. He’s a bit of an outcast and has over the years fallen into obscurity (I have never seen an action figure of him, ever), so it’s nice to see him get such a big part in this episode.
